KUKE and MIGA insure Polish investment in Ukraine

We have the first insurance of a Polish company's production complex in Ukraine issued by #KUKE following the outbreak of a full-scale war. We are proud that this is also the first case of collaboration between KUKE and MIGA (after signing the cooperation agreement in June). The political risk coverage, provided by MIGA and reinsured by KUKE, includes possible losses incurred in connection with political events, including war risk events.

KUKE and UKEF target €249 mln green exports financing

KUKE and UK Export Finance (UKEF), the Polish UK and Polish export credit agencies, have guaranteed a €249 million loan being arranged by Standard Chartered Bank for Turkish renewable energy investment company Kalyon Enerji, enabling the construction of Turkey’s second-largest solar project to date. This deal is expected to support UK jobs in the renewable-energy sector supply chain, particularly in the Midlands.

KUKE becomes a party to the agreement on guarantee mechanisms to strengthen the Ukrainian economy

Leading export credit agencies and investment insurers signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation to support Ukraine at the Ukraine Recovery Conference held in Berlin. The Memorandum aims to prepare the ground for trade and investment in Ukraine to advance Ukraine's reconstruction. Ukraine is promoted as an attractive trade and investment partner. In signing the memorandum, the signatories underline their ambition to pioneer Ukraine's economic, social, infrastructural, and ecological reconstruction.

MIGA and KUKE will jointly support Polish investments in Ukraine and other markets

KUKE signed a memorandum of understanding with The Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency of the World Bank Group (MIGA), to support and encourage trade and foreign direct investments by Polish companies in Ukraine and other countries. The agreement, signed at the Ukraine Recovery Conference 2024, provides a framework for cooperation on projects through joint insurance, parallel insurance, and reinsurance arrangements. This agreement reflects Poland’s strong desire to support Ukraine’s reconstruction and MIGA’s strategy of partnering with public sector insurers given the lack of private market insurance for war risks.
