KUKE representatives – Janusz Wladyczak and Lukasz Kowalski – have concluded an intensive visit to Nigeria. High-level meetings with Nigerian government officials and participation in the 1st Polish-Nigerian Economic Forum in Lagos open new doors for Polish companies to enter the local market and participate in major investment projects.
Supported by representatives of the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the delegation focused on integrating Polish suppliers into local value chains through the "Shop in Poland" initiative and leveraging KUKE’s financial tools to accelerate Nigeria's strategic goals.
Key Highlights:
- Road Network Development: Janusz Wladyczak met with David Nweze Umahi, the Federal Minister of Works. Discussions centered on massive ongoing road investments, including the priority Ilela–Lagos–Sokoto–Badagry economic corridor. This strategic lifeline connects Nigeria to the Niger Republic and other African nations, boosting trade and job creation.
- Economic Diversification: At the Ministry of Finance, the delegation was hosted by Mrs. Sanyade Okoli, Special Adviser to the President on Finance and Economy. She highlighted agriculture, mining, oil & gas, manufacturing, and the digital and creative economy as core pillars of Nigeria’s growth strategy.
- Trade and Investment Boost: Critical talks were also held with the Minister of Trade and Investment, Dr. Jumoke Oduwole, alongside other high-level representatives of the Federal Ministry of Finance.
The talks focused on cooperation in the financing and development of top infrastructure projects, including ports and the railway network. Nigeria is another African country where, thanks to our 'Shop in Poland' initiative, Polish companies will be able to participate in the supply chain of numerous projects.
